January 2026 Newsletter
A new year is here and I’m ready for it! I largely took the month of December off to relax calm my nervous system. There were few commitments both personal and work related. It was the right thing to do.
As for my manuscript for The Hidden Victims, I’ve sent out to those who have been included in the manuscript their portion of the book and a consent form. Two people withdrew from the project. I am just waiting for six more responses. Unfortunately, two people of those six have not acknowledged by emails after multiple attempts to reach them. I will be removing them from the manuscript because I cannot proceed without consent. I’ll be including several more interviews to the manuscript.
On January 2, I will post the next segment of my podcast series on trauma. It’s about why high-achieving people burn out. This particularly the case for men, The series has a separate page on my website. A short preview is below.
At the end of the month is International Holocaust Remembrance Day and I’m pleased to be again involved in a program with my friend and colleague Liz Moore at the University of Toronto Law School. I’m not sure if the program will be recorded but if it is, I will be sharing the link.
That’s it for now. Let’s hope that 2026 turns out to be a much better year than the previous one.
