RIP! It is indeed a very sad story. I too used to love the apple fritters. I don't even think of ever going to a Tim's these days.

I agree. Corporate greed has destroyed the chain. I used to love their plain donuts. Now they are dry, tasteless, feel stale and mealy. Only have them as compensation for using their bathrooms

The name of the game is only profit not necessarily satisfying the customers. That is why Eaton's and Simpson's, as well as Hudson Bay are gone. Many years ago, I also loved the apple fritter, even though deep fried foods were never my friend. I have the occasional herbal tea if I am with a friend who still enjoys Timmy's. I recall visiting my husband when he was at Toronto Western Hospital. The Tim Hortons is in the mail lobby. I was drinking coffee at that time, but I can't have milk or cream. They didn't carry any non-dairy substitute. I wrote head office and I am still waiting for a reply, That was in 1999!!! Is it sad when hardworking people who have their cafes etc., can make it, and close their doors, but the chains like Tim Horton's, McDonalds, etc., rake in the $$$$ regardless of the quality of their products. Consumers have to wake up!
